At Sturgeon County Kennels, we want you to feel confident that you are getting fair value on every purchase. This Price Match Policy explains when and how we will match a competitor price on eligible retail items.

This policy applies to pet specialty retail products purchased online for pickup and in store. It does not apply to boarding, daycare, grooming, or other services.

When we price match

We offer price matching in two main situations.

At the time of sale: we will match the price of an eligible item when you buy it from us, if you show us a qualifying lower price from an approved competitor.

After you buy from us: if we reduce our own in store or online price for the same item during our 30 day return period, we will match our lower price on request by refunding or crediting you the difference.

Who we price match

We price match:

  • Local retail competitors, including their online prices

  • Major online retailers, where the item is sold and shipped by the retailer itself

We do not price match marketplace sellers, classified ads, or individual resellers.

What we price match

To qualify for a price match, the item must be:

  • The same brand, formula, flavour, size, and packaging

  • New and in regular retail condition

  • In stock and immediately available for purchase from the competitor

  • Listed at a current pre tax price that is available to all customers

Price matching is available on regular retail items.

What we do not price match

Our Price Match Policy does not cover:

  • Sale events such as daily deals, door crashers, and limited time or hourly promotions

  • Pre order offers, liquidation sales, or going out of business sales

  • Trade in offers or bundle offers where pricing depends on buying multiple items together

  • Prices that are only available to select groups, including membership programs, special loyalty tiers, or employee discounts

  • Products sold or shipped by third party sellers on marketplace sites

  • Mail in rebates, coupon codes, or other incentives that require additional steps

  • Pricing errors or misprints

  • Clearance, final sale, or out of stock items, whether offered by us or a competitor

How to request a price match

To request a price match, please provide:

  • The competitor name

  • A current advertisement, website link, or screenshot that clearly shows the lower price, item details, and date

  • Your receipt or order number if you already purchased from us

You can request a price match in store at the time of purchase, or after purchase within 30 days by visiting us in person or contacting us by phone or email.

We may need to verify the competitor price and availability before approving a match.

How price differences are issued

If your request is approved before purchase, we will match the competitor pre tax price at the till.

If your request is approved after purchase, we will refund or credit the difference between what you paid and the lower eligible price.

Price matches are calculated on the product price before tax. Shipping fees, delivery charges, or other service fees are not included.

In some cases we may issue store credit instead of a refund, for example where the original method of payment is not available.

Limits and conditions

To keep the policy fair and sustainable:

  • Price matching is limited to one price match per identical item per customer

  • Price matches cannot be combined with other offers, coupons, or percentage based discounts

  • We may decline a price match where we cannot reasonably verify the competitor price or availability

Our Return and Refund Policy continues to apply to all returns and exchanges.
